LET'S PUT EVERYTHING IN PERSPECTIVE
The views expressed on this website are predominantly my personal observations based on a philosophy of hunting and tracking with dogs that I have adopted over a 45 year period.   We can only say what we have learned and what we have observed, so naturally our views are based on personal experience and preferences.  We by-no-means expect anyone to adopt the same views on every issue.  So if you come across something that you disagree with on our website, or on the Texas Jagd Kennel Message Board, please read it simply as our view of the subject being covered.  I cannot promote someone elses views or opinions, because that would not be genuine.  So again, if you disagree with something, then just view it as that---a simple matter of difference.  Differences in views, hunting styles, level of experience, and many other factors make us as diverse as the dogs we love to hunt.

We are in the middle of archery season, and currently putting our dogs on as many blood tracks as possible.  Jan is working with me to get all our young dogs on game!                                                                            Dennis

"Your cry came to me at a favorable time, when the doors of welcome were wide open. I helped you on a day when salvation was being offered.  Right now God is ready to welcome you. Today he is ready to save you."    TLB            (2 Cor. 6:2)

TRACKING WOUNDED GAME IS
NOT SOMETHING NEW WITH US

WE BOW HUNT YEAR ROUND.  I HAVE TAKEN ONE BEAR AND  17 FERAL HOGS WITH BOW SINCE SEPTEMBER, AND WE HAVE WORKED OUR DOGS ON MOST OF THEIR TRACKS.  I'VE BEEN INVOLVED IN TRACKING WOUNDED GAME MOST OF MY ADULT LIFE---SO WHEN WE SAY WE USE OUR JAGDS FOR BLOODTRACKING--YOU CAN KNOW THAT WE PERSONALLY PUT OUR DOGS ON GAME ON A REGULAR BASIS.  NOTHING YOU SEE ON THIS WEBSITE IS JUST HEARSAY OR SOMETHING WE HAVE GRASPED FROM ASSUMPTIONS AND THE OPINIONS OF OTHERS.

WACO
RECENTLY LOCATED A GOOD-SIZED FERAL HOG THAT WAS HIT TOO HIGH WITH AN ARROW,

IT WAS A 150 YARD TRACK WITH ONE STRONG RIGHT TURN
---WITH NO
VISIBLE BLOOD.
A versatile little hunting terrier that loves to track wounded game!
WACO
My arrow hit high and this hog took off leaving no blood trail.  We went to the house to get Waco, and he lined out the 150 yard track like he was being reeled In on a fishing pole!   There was one sharp right turn, but it did not even slow Waco down.   He found his hog---and Jan and I were amazed!
